Temple Hill Books makes it possible for you to publish your personal or family history without investing thousands of dollars in a basement full of booksand your history will never go out of print.
What do I do?
If you’re like many people, you’d like to publish your family history but just don’t know how. That’s why we’re here—we'll give you the tools you need to do the job and help you along the way.

Temple Hill Books
We’ll provide specially prepared templates that take care of your book’s layout and formatting, along with full instructions on how to use them. We'll also supply a range of professionally designed cover templates that you can use as-is or modify to fit your needs. And we’ll tell you where to find software that you can download and use in writing and formatting your book—software that rivals Microsoft Word, InDesign, and Photoshop—and won’t cost you a penny.

What kind of tools?
Okay, so I have to write and format the book. What will you do?
After you’ve finished writing and formatting your book, we’ll supply an ISBN (International Standard Book Number), create a Bookland EAN bar code, and determine the price at which the book will be sold (based roughly on the number of pages but comparable to that of other books; please contact us for an exact price). Then we’ll prepare the book for printing. A few weeks after that, your book will be available to purchase. We'll give you an internet link that allows you to order as many copies—or as few copies—as you'd like. You can share the link on your family website or simply email it to other family members. You won't need to worry about financing the printing or about shipping books to other family members. So go ahead and smile! We’ll take care of the technical stuff.

What will it cost?
Using traditional publishing methods, getting a family history into print requires an investment of several thousand dollars. But we’ll do everything described above for just $179. Too good to be true? Not at all. Modern print-on-demand technology makes it possible. And that technology is available—and working—right now. Note that this price doesn't include the books themselves, which you’ll need to purchase separately through the link we'll provide. Buy one, ten, a hundred—whatever you like. (Again, the price is based roughly on the number of pages but is comparable to that of other books; please contact us for an exact price.)

Who does the printing?
Our printing company, Lightning Source, is a subsidiary of Ingram, the world’s largest book distributor, and all of the printing is done on demand. That means when someone (like you) orders a copy of your book, Lightning Source will print that single copy and ship it. You don’t have to worry about how many copies to print, where you're going to keep all those copies, or how you’re going to ship them to family members. All you have to do is give family members the purchase link, and they can order as many as they need. You can put the link on a family web page, in an email announcement, or in your family newsletter—it’s up to you.
