WordCounter for Microsoft® Word

WordCounter counts the number of words, pages, and characters in the active document, all open documents, or all documents in a folder. If you’re writing or editing and bill by the word or the page, you’ll find WordCounter indispensable. After it’s finished counting, WordCounter presents you with a nicely formatted table with the count for each document you specified and totals for the number of words, pages, and characters in your documents. Download WordCounter 2.17 for Microsoft® Word 97 or higher for PC or Macintosh.

After downloading the program, unzip it using Windows®, WinZip (PC), or Stuffit Expander (Macintosh or PC). You'll then see the following files:

Counter.dot: The WordCounter program template. To install the program, open the template in Microsoft® Word and double-click the button labeled "Double-Click Here to Install." Then follow the prompts on your screen.

Counter.doc: The WordSetter documentation in the form of a Word document. Read it!

Counter.chm: The WordCounter documentation in the form of a Windows® Help document. Put it into your Windows/Help folder (PC only).
